Annual Report




Good Evening,

Honourable Chief Guest Mr.V.S. Pasule, Director DECU & Chairman Vidyalaya Management Committee, Honourable Mr. P. Devakumar Deputy Commissioner KVS Ahmedabad Region and Guest of Honour, members of VMC, Principals of other Kendriya Vidyalayas distinguished parents and  august gathering. It is my proud privilege to welcome you all who have graced the occasion with their benign presence. I also express my sincere gratitude to our Chairman Mr.V.S. Palsule and our Deputy Commissioner Mr. P. Devakumar for sparing their valuable time from busy schedule to be with us.

Once again I extend my cordial welcome to all the imminent guests of today’s function and express my gratitude to them.

Sir, it gives me immense pleasure to have an opportunity to present the annual report of the vidyalaya  for the session 2013-14 before this august gathering .

 Since its inception in 1984 Kendriya Vidyalaya SAC has made constant efforts to rise to imminence in the field of education. Today it is a full fledged vidyalaya  up to Senior Secondary level( Science Stream)with student strength 569 and staff strength 31. Good guidance from worthy patrons and a team of committed and dedicated teachers gives me strength to cater the needs of the students, come true to the expectations of the organisation and enhance the glory of the vidyalaya .For this I am highly indebted to my chairman Mr. V. S. Palsule & the Deputy Commissioner Mr. P. Devakumar who give us unfailing support and guidance to achieve perfection and scale new heights. 


The tradition of good academic achievement continued this session also. The overall result of the vidyalaya for the session 2012-13 was 99.39% and for 12th class 97.36%  .In  class 12th Km. Mansi Bimal Shah and Master Panchal Shivam Sanjay topped the vidyalaya by scoring 93.8% . Km N. Vinuthna was at second place with 93.2% and Master Rhythm Nikhra at third place with 92.2%. Master Panchal Shivam Sanjay added feather to his cap of success by obtaining 100 out of 100 in Chemistry and being  recipient of 0.1 Merit Certificate issued by CBSE. Out of 38 students who appeared in AISSE     07    students Scored above 90% and held the head of institution high. Fifty Two students appeared in class X Exam,  out of which  fifteen children got 10 CGPA and brought laurels to the vidyalaya . They were felicitated by giving a cash prize of Rs. 5000 each from KVS. Our Deputy Commissioner  Mr. Devakumar Says “ If Channi Region can give 100% result with high P.I. why not Ahmedabad Region  ?” Sir I assure you this year  we shall also give 100% result with quality & high P.I.

Library :

Library , the centre of knowledge  and means of conversing with the mighty minds contains 8533 books of different categories  and subscribes 34 magazines and 04 newspapers . Its unique features are barcoding system and internet connection for e library. In order to promote reading habit the students are made to write book reviews and prepare other projects assigned to them. It has given an opportunity to the students and teachers to keep themselves abreast of present scenario and get informed about career options opened to them. Book fair was also organised from 18 November to 21 November13 by Narmada Publication and Scholastic Publication.

Information & Communication Technology :

ICT has become an integral part of life and so for education. Hence we have 40 computers, 01 lap top 03 visualizers, 08 touch pads, 06 printers, 02 scanners, 03 projectors,01 portable projector with pc and interactive board , broadband connection and WiFi Router  to enable the students and the teachers to keep pace with the changing scenario of the world where there is explosion of knowledge.  The vidyalaya  is  to receive 26  computers and 04 laptops from ISRO . We are really grateful to the Chairman for such facilities.

Other Facilities:  The vidyalaya is well equipped with spacious laboratories of Physics, Chemistry Biology, and Primary Resource Room and Audio Visual Room well equipped with electronic devises. These make teaching learning process more interesting and receptive. The spacious hall of the vidyalaya helps us to organise different activities, seminars and workshops etc. in the most comfortable atmosphere. The small garden cultivated in front of the vidyalaya and trees in the vicinity are feast to eyes. We also strive hard for upkeep of the infrastructure. 

Vidyalaya is having a play ground with the facilities to play basket ball, Volley Ball, Foot Ball and other out door games.

Scouts & Guides:  Out of total 81 registration  ,12 are guides, 20 scouts, 29 cubs and 20 bulbuls. Six scouts  and three guides have passed Tritiya Sopan Testing Camp. Mast. Harsh Pardeshi, Mast. Sampark Maity and Km. Bhoomika attended Division rally .


For organizing a wide range of co curricular activities a comprehensive plan was chalked out in the beginning of the session and implemented during the session .

 To make the activities challenging and instill a spirit of competition all the students were divided into four houses. House Masters and House Associates were also made. Thereafter House Captains, Vice Captains, Sports Captains, Head Boy, Head Girl were selected. These portfolios were given to the students to imbibe a sense of responsibility in the students and enable them carry out the assigned duties successfully.

 The students participated in the activities organized at school level as well as other levels with enthusiasm.

All the days as per list received from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan including Independence Day & Republic Day were also celebrated in true spirit to promote awareness, National Integration, Peace & Harmony.


The students are faced with great dilemma with regard to choice of subjects and also after completion of their school education. Keeping this in view the seminars &lectures are  organized in the vidyalaya from time to time. These seminars  were organized by Mr. Sathyanarayan, Aakash Institute Ahmedabad, Forum Shah, Knowledge Academy Lalabhai Group & a seminar on science & research in schools was presented by Mr.Adrian and Mrs. Clementine



Games & sports are essential to maintain agility and to keep physically fit. In fact now a days games and sports are opted as careers of glory and fame. In order to provide a platform to the students and nurture their talent games are organised in Kendriya  Vidyalayas every year. This year 146 students ( 87 boys& 59 girls ) participated at cluster level sports events 100students (51 boys& 49 girls) at Regional level . Out of these 2 boys & 5 girls made their way to KVS NATIONAL MEET 2013.

The Vidyalaya was also venue for the following events

Cluster Level Meet Kabaddi Girls from -13.08-13  to 14.08.13

Regional Level Meet Kabaddi Girls from -22.08.13 to 24.08.13

Common Minimum Programme has been started in KVS to nurture the talent of the Primary students. The students of the vidyalaya participated in different competitions and got an opportunity to exhibit their latent talent. They got second position in Group Dance and  third in Relay Race. Km. Daksha Kala of class IVth got first place in 100 m run .

                                                  OTHER ACHIEVEMENTS

In HINDI PAKHWARA Competition Organized by PRL – 06 students  Ku. Apoorva Mishra. Km Anusri, Km. Mohini, Master Vishal,Master Shubham & Master Cintan got cash award of Rs.600 each.

In  Essay writing Competition organized by ISRO on the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week the following students got prizes and certificates.

Senior Group

Junior Group

Ku.  Nidhi  Gupta   Participated in Ignite Minds Competition. She got felicitation for her unique idea of having a provision of an indicator type device to enable the users know that their phone has become dead . She will be receiving prize &certificate from former President of India and Missile man Shri. APJ Abdul Kalam .

Art :

Nine students have got certificate and prizes  in Navneet Drawing & Painting Competition 2013

Km. Lili  has got first prize in Save Environment painting competition  organized by Gujarat Forest Department.

Thirty students appeared in Elementary and Intermediate Drawing grade exam2013.

Km. Chandrika Dharof X , Km. Raksha Patel of X and Km, Varnikadas Gupta of IX class have received a cash prize of Rs.1000 each  for their drawing on the theme Save energy drawing  and painting competition organized by Pundit Dindayal Petrolium University

Olympiads: Like previous years this year also an encouraging number of students appeared in Maths, Science and Cyber Olympiads . Mast. Shreyansh Sethia of class Xi has got 22 rank  at all india level in KVS Maths Olympiad.

Social Science Exhibition :

Km. Riddhi Jhala  and Master Chandrshekhar participated  at regional level in  Hindi Debate and Quiz respectively. 02 files and0 5 charts were also selected for Regionals. We got second position in skit and third in dance at cluster level.

National Children Science Congress 2012 (NCSC2012):

Six students participated in Regional Level National Children Science Congress  held at KV AFS , Makarpura, Baroda   .

41st Jawaharlal Nehru National Science, Mathematics& Environment Exhibition :

Six projects were sent to represent the vidyalaya . The project of Master Shyam Jesalpura and group has been selected for National Level participation. Whereas project prepared by Master Jyotiraditya and Group is selected as standby.

Inspection : Two inspections one surprise and one panel were held during the session In both the inspections vidyalaya has been adjudged  outstanding .

In this way all required efforts are made to bring laurels to the vidyalaya & take it to the new heights of glory. I am thankful to the parents for their kind cooperation in this regard.

 Once again I am thankful to you all  , specially our Chairman Mr. V.S. Palsule and our Deputy Commissioner Mr. P. Devakumar  for extending full support and imparting valuable suggestions from time to time for upliftment in all the fields. I also acknowledge the co operation and support of VMC members and the parents in achieving set goals. Hope I shall continue to get same support from your side. I am extremely thankful to our Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour for their benign presence on this occasion.
